WAYS TO JOIN IN JAPAN
You can join in one of the three ways:
- Submit payment and information through the post office
Chapter presentations
You can attend a chapter presentation--usually held the third or fourth Sunday of the month at the Nagoya International Center on the third floor. The Membership Chair will forward a completed membership form to the JALT Central Office.
Submission through the post office
You can choose one of two ways to pay through the post office. Your obtaining of a membership form from a member or the Membership Chair, allows you to check mark special interest groups (SIGs). Then transmit the correct amount with the completed form through any post office.
The second method requires you to enter slightly more information. At a post office, request the postal transfer form (yubin furikae) and complete the following steps:
(Yokohama 00290-1-70903).
- enter your mailing address, e-mail, and telephone/fax number.
- note the type of membership and N-SIGs you desire.
Then within six weeks, you will receive JALT material--including your membership card.
Paying by charge card
If you wish to attend JALT's next International Conference in the fall, you can pay for the conference fee and your membership dues with your charge card. If this method appeal to you, follow these steps:

- include in your registration a charge card payment for both the
conference fee and your membership dues.
A few days or weeks later, you will receive JALT publications, conference material, and your membership card.
